I think it’s worth a read (of course, I would think that, since I wrote it).

An interstellar cult, the Catechumen, is scouring the galaxy with an army of robotic zealots, hooking heretics into a neural-simulation of eternal torture (one of their starships is full of brains of people plugged into the hellish-simulation).
